Well, i guess it all started with this......

From General
I suppose most of you have figured it out by now.
Our breakfast for the day was crab.
Not just any ordinary crab, but Alaskan King Crab!!!
Unfortunately, I was too stingy didnt have enough money on me to buy enough crab for 18 people, so i kept it a bit exclusive.
The special thing about Alaskan King crab is its legs. We all love legs!!!
And unlike Mud Crab, Alaskan Kings have alot of meat in their legs. Enough to fill up a plate!!
From General
And to top off our light breakfast, we washed it down with some salty chicken soup.

From General
As we know, breakfast IS the most important meal of the day...
So once we got that out of the way, we set off on our drive down to Kiama.

On arrival, we were a bit late, so as punishment, we confinded ourselves to the next street for the next couple of minutes. And while we were there, we dug up a little box hidden deep inside the boot of Sum's car.

HEY GUYS - DO YOU LIKE PUTTING CRABSTICKS IN YOUR MOUTHS????

So that was pretty much breakfast and lunch out of the way.

Then the rest of it was rather insignificant XD

How to make pancakes !

Tuesday, April 27, 2010 T0fu 4 comments
Vu lets us in on his pancake recipe!

what you need is

250ml of Vodka
2 eggs
2 cup of milk
2 cups of self raising flour
2 1/2 tablespoons of sugar

1. firstly drink the vodka. let it rest for 1-2 hours before resuming cooking.
2. measure and sift the cup of flour into a bowl
3. then add half an egg for every half a cup. you should realise this is 2 eggs.
4. do not forget the eggs or your pancakes will taste like shit
5. make a well in the flour, put 4 half eggs in the flour
6. proceed to find "normal sugar" this is a rare item, often confused with sugar you may need to look for it
7. for every egg you will need 2 tablespoons of sugar.so put in 2 and a half tablespoons of sugar for our 4 half eggs.
8. Add the milk in a 1:1 ratio to the flour. Why is there sugar in ther
9. mix the pancake mix. be gentle.
10. make it fluffy (: lumpy lumpy
11. leave in fridge for 30 minutes. cover with clingwrap. it is right next to you!
12. enjoy !!!
13. WESTSIDE

happy birthday vu !

New Headphones!

Tuesday, April 20, 2010 T0fu 0 comments
so my Ultrasone pro 550's arrived today ! and im enjoying them quite alot! theyre pretty much the bassiest headphones on the market without need for amplification! not to say their mid or highrange is bad but the bass is just overwhelmingly badass. it makes the ms-1s feel lacking in comparison. it is just corrupting.

pics below

ITS GERMAN

comes with a hardfoam carrying case for protection

colour is rezel blue. massive sexc

look at those massive 50mm drivers !!

anyways my thoughts so far..

is a bit heavy and a bit tight. but im sure i can get used to the weight and i can stretch out the band with some books. the isolation is extremely good. soundstage is fantastic and the S-logic system really works. i dont feel the same pressure at the same volume !

music!!!

KOALA 5 comments
Ok, been experimenting with adding songs to our blog
Hopefully you guys will be able to see the wmp bar on the left hand side. It usually takes a couple of seconds to load, depending on your net speed.
The current track is called "Namida no Tane, Egao no Hana" by Nakagawa Shoko.
It is the feature song for the new Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann movie.
We'd most likely be going through a new song every now and then, and as usual, we are open to suggestions.
Hope you guys enjoy XD

*Edit* Ok, maybe adding music wasnt such a good idea, since it slows down the page a lot
Looking for ways to work around it. Keep you guys updated

*Edit 2*
Well, put a midi up instead of a MP3 file. Much faster now.
Current song is a piano version of Shinkai no Kodoku
Insert song from Gundam Seed Destiny

*Edit 3*
Been doing some further testing
Browsers powered by the Trident engine, (ie6, ie7, ie8, maxthon 2, maxthon 3 alpha) seem to run perfectly fine and the swf banner loads correctly.
However, as i guessed that some people, like Cameron would complain that i make 4PAK reader friendly for other browsers. Hence, i have tested the new features across a variety of browsers.
To be honest, i still dont get firefox. Main reason is that its not a browser thats ready to use out of the box.
They dont even have the most simple things like Mouse Gestures included in the standard package.
To play the embedded midi file on our blog, you'd need to download a quicktime plugin, when trident based browsers by default uses wmp to play.
Maxthon 3 would be moving onto Beta stage soon, so looking forward to that. Firefox 4, which I also tested earlier today, was even worse than FF 3.6. At first, i was drawn in by the pretty prototype pictures of what it could potentially look like. Unfortunately, its still in its Alpha release atm, and is unskinnable.

What's cooking

Wednesday, April 14, 2010 Onderon 1 comments
Well its been a while since my last post (cos I've been way too...lazy) so I decided to get off my ass and post something.

Anyways lately been doing a bit of cooking and experimenting with new foods and tonight I made some sukiyaki or if you prefer, hot pot. No doubt most of you have tried it before at jap restaurants which is great and all but I usually find 2 things to bitch about: its either too salty and/or not enough meat (meaning you have to pay for another plate)

Anyways heres what my take on it looks like but excuse the poor lighting.

From Onderon's gallery

I tried to make the soup as traditional as possible but made a few tweaks to suit my taste and front start to finish it only took about 10mins to prepare and was more than enough for 2 ppl.

If anyways interested they can jot down the following and give it a try themselves:

1-2 packs of thinnly sliced fatty beef ( the ones used in hotpot) or whatever meat you prefer
A handful of assorted fresh mushrooms eg shitake, enoki, oyster mushrooms and anything else you like
Some dashi stock (optional as I found it doesn't really make much difference)
1 liter of beef or chicken stock (I prefer beef)
1 medium to large brown onion
2 small bok choi + any other greens
Tofu
soy sauce and sugar to taste

Once you have those the rest is rather simple clean everything and slice the onion into thick strips and chop mushrooms

I used a fairly deep frying pan for the next part but a hotpot bowl or w/e its called would be better. Pour the beef and dashi stock in as well as some soy sauce and about 3 table spoons of sugar and bring it to boil and then let it simmer for a few mins.

Throw in the onions, mushroom and tofu and turn the heat back up till boiling. then throw in the beef. Gently stir the contents to prevent sticking and you ready to serve. ofc let the beef cook first.

Now you can do either of 2 things. Either serve it with the pan or transfer the pan onto a portable stove. The latter option lets you cook additional meat and veggies at the table.

Nice and simple serve with rice or noodles and w/e rocks your boat. Dipping sauce is not really needed or you can just crack an egg into a bowl or use paint stripper.

PS if it sucks its cos you can't cook and don't blame me.

The 4PAK approval

Sunday, April 11, 2010 KOALA 4 comments
Hello guys

Heres a little review of a cool little bathroom accessory which i got from HK

Now in terms of bathroom accessories, we all have a standard face towel hanger like this
From Misc
However, an accessory like this is hard to install, often requiring a power drill and screws to mount.

So what happens when you want to hang more stuff, but dont want to drill more holes into your wall?

Well, a little suction based hanger like this would be a solution
From Misc
However, after using these for a couple of months, the suction tends to wear out, especially if you load heavier towels on them.

So thats where today's reviewed product comes in.
It too uses suction to cling onto the wall, but unlike its predecessor, it uses alot more.
From Misc
So, 30 or more suction caps means 30x more power right??

More power is always better in my opinion.

However, thats not all there is to this product.
On one side, it can grip onto the wall, but the other side also features the same amount of suction caps
Why would you need suction caps on the other side you ask?
Simple
Appart from just holding towles, it can also hold onto anything else you throw at it.
It would support the weight of a full bottle of head and shoulders shampoo
From Misc

or you can use it just to hold your tube of toothpaste
From Misc

And whats more
they even come in different shapes and sizes to suit your taste.
Like this bunny rabit suction holder
From Misc
So yes. These are definately some good bathroom accessries, and they offer more fun that the standard suction caps.
