I was really impressed by that recent pic of Bruce doing his signature flying kung fu kick. For those who don't use Facebook...

So like any avid 4... PAKer... I couldn't help but attempt to troll the shit out of it. Variations below:

4PAK's 3rd testicle

Thursday, October 28, 2010 KOALA 1 comments
One of our all time favourite gunpla would be the MG Ball.

Last year, we've seen a featured RB-79 "PokeBall" made by ToFu.

We've also seen 4PAK's "other ball" by Onderon
From MG Ball
and today, we get to see 4PAK's 3rd ball
From Gunpla
Clear Ball!!
We already know that the ball has some of the best mechanical details of all gunpla kits (more than the PG 00 Raiser XD), and now with clear armour, all that mechanical detail can be seen without removing it.
From Gunpla
From Gunpla
Unfortunately, the armour is crystal clear type of plastic. Instead, it is slightly frosted. Hence, internal detail is still best shown when the ball out of its sack.
From Gunpla

Since all of the Ball's armour is located on Runner A, you pretty much get another set of armour.

Gunpla Build Session

KOALA 0 comments
Just adding more onto Sums post about last sunday's Gunpla group build session.

From Gunpla
From Gunpla

pretty much everything layed out on the floor to build.

PG Strike for Tim, PG 00 for Sum, and MG Ex-S for me.

From Gunpla
For those of you who have no interest in gunpla, i can assure you now that we do other "fun" things aswell.

Such as watching Sum eat the following
From General
On the packaging, it claimed to be a drink with "coconut fibre"
These little white cubes were very chewy, almost like bitting into rubber, and had a very strange taste.
Among the strange experimental foods and drinks which we try, this would have easily made it into the top 3, along with Curry ramune (AKA Ball Sweat Juice) and those little sweet ball cakes.
From General
After our brake, moving back to gunpla.
Comparison between PG Strike, and PG 00 Leg
From Gunpla

Part of the reason why I bought the ex-s was to pose along with my Z+booster.
From Gunpla
From Gunpla
In the picture above, i also equipped the Z+ with the Ex-s beam smart gun.
For those wondering about the differences between the MG Beam smart gun and the GFF, heres a pic. Theres more detail on the GFF version, although it is slightly smaller.

PG ( . Y . ) Gundam part 1

Tuesday, October 26, 2010 Onderon 0 comments
Once again I must say its been a while since I last posted *this is starting to become a bad habit XD* but I hope as usual I can make up for my lack of presence with something good - to me atleast.

A few already know that I have recently purchased the Perfect Grade 00 Gundam through unsavory means, no I did not bash a hobo for it but when the day comes that hobos carry gunpla I will.

And like usual I wont do much of an intro and just talk about what I have done thus far...in this case not much. You might also remember that Cameron wanted to go to the Central Coast last Sunday but due to bad weather and general overall lack of commitment from anyone the outing was pushed back. So what did we do? WE GROUP BUILD OUR ARSE OFF WHILE LISTENING TO MISS A nottaeme jakkuman nae gasumi!!!!

ok w/e. Anyways so we (me Tofu and Chung) headed over to our home away from home AKA Tim's place with Chung bringing along his freshly purchased MG EX-S and Tim's 90 yro PG Strike we got down to business.

I wont talk much about the kit but rather just post some lazy pictures of the progress I make.

So first off we have the inner frame of the torso
From PG 00

Looks simplistic but took a few hrs of labour and too many parts.

...aaaaaaand its about the size of the MG ball
From PG 00

By the time I was done with the torso Tim wont shut up about all the linked movement and mechanical detail on his Strike's leg and Chung mangled his EX-S I skipped to constructing the legs and as you can see its pretty fucking big.
From PG 00

Again a size comparison this time with the sexy SIC Kabuto which I never blogged about
From PG 00

That's about all I did before hungry over took us and we headed off for some lunch (which sucked)

and please close your eyes as you imagine the most incredible wrap up to this post.

How Clean is YOUR Computer, pt 3

Sunday, October 17, 2010 KOALA 0 comments
Again, we'll go back to the physical side of things.
For those who use notebooks, think you can get away with it???
Well have a look at this...
Recently, at work, we've developed a habbit of documenting what we do and showing clients of just how dirty their computers are.
Kinda like before and after shots, cos alot of them, refuse to believe that you've actually done something when you charge them 70bux to open up and clean out the crap in a laptop.
Well, heres a bit of that evidence.
From Misc
Yes that whole brown bit is all the shit that has been cloggin up the vents and getting stuck in the blower fan of the notebook, causing it to overheat.

So for all you notebook users, still think you can get away without a clean??

Plamo Updates

KOALA 0 comments
The lastest addition to our gunpla collection.
MG Strike Freedom, Full Burst edition.
Yes, this has been sitting around in my room for over a year before I finally got the motivation to build it. As for the MG Destiny, well....thats still in the box....

From Gunpla
And right after i finish this, Bandai decides to anounce the PG Strike Freedom kit. Just my luck isnt it???

Another kit which I have been working on, was the Genobreaker.
From Gunpla

Now a couple of weeks ago, having recieved our pay cheques, Sum and I decided to go and splurge.
He decided on getting the Perfect Grade Strike, while I set my eyes on the Gundam Fix Figuration Metal Composit Z Plus Booster.
However, I can say that we have some of the worst possible luck. Uppon arriving at hobbyco, all PG Strikes were sold out, and they only had the red version of the GFFMC Z plus.
If this was Sum, im sure it wouldnt be too much of a problem, since it would just be another collection to his red army.
However, having already gotten a very red kit recently, (Yes, the Geno Breaker is VERY red), I decided that I wanted the blue one instead.
What made things worse was that GFFMCs are limited items, so it was probably impossible to get another shipment.
So I guess we had to look for alternatives.
After alot of consideration, Sum had a change of mind and decided to get the PG 00 Raiser instead.
I guess this was because ToFu has had a unbuilt PG strike sitting around for around 4 years now, and we could sooner or later get together for a massive group build.
I on the other hand, looked on Ebay, and found what i was after.
EMS shipping was expensive, but atleast it was fast.

Like most parcels from Japan, we get newspaper.

No nude girls in this one, but painting auction.

From Gunpla

Neatly bubble wrapped.
From Gunpla
And then wrapped in another layer of thin paper.
From Gunpla
As for box size, its around the size of a MG, but alot deeper.
From Gunpla
And we go through the package contents.
From Gunpla
Bandai only bothered printing one version of the manual, featuring the Zplus Red.
From Gunpla
Layer One
Here we have the main Zeta Plus unit, wing binders, A1 and C1 tail binder, A1 and C1 shields, guns, beam sabers, etc...
From Gunpla
Layer 2
Here, we get most of the booster attachment parts to form the Z-Plus Bst
From Gunpla
Layer 3 consists of parts used to build the stand, and display base
From Gunpla
Like all other Ver Ka model, the Z+ comes with decal markings all over its body.
From Gunpla
From Gunpla
And if you think that Katoki missed an area or something, well you dont really have to worry. Cos bandai were generous enough to give you a whole sheet of extra warning decals
From Gunpla
137 decals all up

From Gunpla
Most of the GFFMC, appart from the Psyco gundam and Psyco gundam MKII, are 1-100 scale.
Heres comparison with my MG Zeta 2.0
From Gunpla
From Gunpla
This kit has 6 modes. Z+ A1 MS, Z+ A1 wave rider, Z+ C1 MS, Z+ C1 waver rider, Z+ C1 Booster MS, Z+ C1 Booster waver rider.
I normally prefer to have it in Booste Waver rider form. Looks like a flying tank ^^
