4PAK is RED Green

Yes, you may have noticed a few more experiments going on here and there, mostly to do with the main background colour.

In other news.

Gunpla builders beginning G ova was released a few days ago.
After watching the promo vids, I kinda already knew it was gonna be something relatively stupid.
Well, heres some quick caps.

From others

Now in regards to the story, its pretty simple. A kid sees the 1:1 scale Gundam in Japan, and decides to start building gunpla. As the last RX-78 model was snatched away from him, a 1-144 Beginning gundam smacks down on his head from the heavens.
From others
As no one has ever heard of Beginning gundam before, it holds a a bit of mystery about it.

So the main character, along with his friends start to build their gunplas. Then his friend introduces him to a base behind his local hobby store, where there is a series of machines which can be used for simulation battles. We've already seen these kind of machines in Japanese arcades, where the player sits in a 360 panoramic monitor. However, what makes this game different is that the unit used is the players own gunpla, where he/she will insert into a haro scanner.

From others

The power of the units is also based on how well the Gunplas are build. Hence poorly built units will get parts broken off easily, like how the beginnings shoulder armour gets blown appart
From others
and Hi-Nu busting a polycap
From others

And in these battles, SIZE DOES MATTER.
Most of the units used in the fights are 1-144 scale. In the final battle, we have a 1-550 BigZam facing off with a 1-144 white Sazabi. And it got pooned.
From others
But then based on the theory of size, then how bout the mother of gunpla kits...the 1-144 Dendrobium.....it was a very powerful unit, and could its only competitor was a giant Zakrello docked with a zaku. My question is...how the hell did it fit into the haro scanner????
From others

Sticking with Gundam traditions, we have a main antagonist of the story. A blond man wearing shades, called Schauer, and he rides a horse in the middle of the fucking city......
From others

Now just like how Char gives Amuro the psycoframe for the Nu Gundam, our antagonist here sends our hero a special runner full of upgrade parts for his special gundam, hand moulded from the gunpla factory.
From others

Now if only Bandai would do this to its loyal customers......

IN YOUR DREAMS.........

Well, thats my thoughts on the MS Beginning G OVA. It turned out as what I expected it to be.

On another note, Unicorn 03 continued to maintain its standard.

Will be doing a post of the 1-144 GN arms some time later this week.

Renovations Again.

Wednesday, March 9, 2011 KOALA 0 comments
Well, I guess its about time for another face lift.
So far, we've had our snow flake banner ever since Christmas, and thats long over.

There are a few things I want to try implementing.
First of all, is shrinking down our page size.
I know not everyone out there has hyper scrolling on their mice, and not all of you want to load over so many images, especially the ones from our plamo reviews.
Hence, when ever you post a post, only the summary will be shown, and for those who are interested, click the read more button to view all the contents.

This way, it should make the page load a little faster.

A search feature has been included so you can find things easier.

Blogger bar...WHERE HAS IT GONE???
Unfortunately it was removed while applying the new template. But i have added a sign in button for those who need to log on to make comments or publish posts.

I will be going to be working on making a new banner.
Open to suggestions.

Our Blog is Rated R

KOALA 4 comments
Class was boring, so did some went on the net to do some random shit.
Unfortunately, the rating is only done on word filters, and not picture content, but either way, our small piece of cyber territory has been given the R rating, hence we are unsuitable for children.
So...All you underaged kids who like to read the random stuff on this blog, you are no longer allowed here....unless you want to read this with your mum sitting next to you.

Now the key words.
Dead - 7x. Given the main title of our blog, I dont think that this word would even be classified as a taboo word which makes it non suitable for minors.
Penis - 5x. The more the better? A cow has around 4-6 nipples on an udder, and it gives birth to one calf at a time, so why can 4PAK have 5 dicks?
Testicle - 2x. Perfectly normal isnt it? Just like how nature intended it to be (for guys only though)
Death - 1x. Well you can only experience once right?

Surprised how none of the random swear words like shit and fuck dont get picked up by this thing.

3DS Japanese Launch

Sunday, February 27, 2011 CK 3 comments
People who frequent gaming news-sites may already know, the Nintendo 3DS launched yesterday in Japan after a very secretive year of wait. Despite a terrible first party launch lineup (was there even anything besides Nintendog/cats?) the initial shipment of 400,000 units was sold out in just over 24 hours. In comparison, the original DS (which holds the existing console launch sales record) reached 450,000 after its first week.

Due to arrive here down under at the end of March, several retailers are now offering pre-order deals to let you save some $ off the $350rrp. I have ordered mine from DSE online, their $283 with free game bundle is no longer available, however anyone interested should check out Big W for the next best offer. But know there will not be any big IP releases for a while, with the big names like Zelda, Kid Icarus, Starfox... Mario Kart... still in a TBA or late-2011 status.

5TB and beyond

Friday, February 11, 2011 KOALA 0 comments
Well, since 4PAK is making a small come back
Heres what i've been up to lately.

Now for the computers which we sell in our store, most of them would have say a single 1 terabyte hard drive installed. For the average pc user, 1tb would be more than enough for their usage.

Me on the other hand, well, I go with the philosophy of "more is better". So how does 8 drives sound??

From Screen Captures
Making full use of all 8 sata connectors on my motherboard.
1 seagate 500gb xt drive, 1 seagate 500gb series 11 drive (yes, this was a bad batch, but it still works)
4x seagate 1tb, 1x Western Digital 750gb, 1x Western Digital 2tb. Total of 7.75 TB worth of storage. In which
I do have another WD 500gb lying around, so that bumps the total to over 8tb, but to utilise that drive, I will need to set up a hotswap unit which i'll be getting some time next week.

OSRAM - W/E that means

Wednesday, February 9, 2011 Onderon 2 comments
WE'RE STILL ALIVE!

OK I apologise for not doing much(anything) but our resurrection for the new year will hopefully lead to more activity.

And to start things off for 2011 I'm gonna introduce you guys to OSRAM. What is OSRAM? I have no fucking idea what it means but I can tell you what it is.

Effin awesome...for a stick.

From Onderon's gallery

So how the heck did I end up with something like this? Long story short I was at Bunnings and chanced upon this innocuous looking...stick in a tube with a bright orange button labeled test
From Onderon's gallery

I couldn't help myself and pressed it

From Onderon's gallery

It's like something from Close Encounters of the Third Kind but fortunately it wasn't a probing implement

Out of the tube we have a sleek and simplistic rod(cue penis jokes) sitting in a white cradle
From Onderon's gallery

From Onderon's gallery

Its got 4 fairly intense white LEDs which gives it the eyeball raping brightness from the previous pic and that was inside the tube!
From Onderon's gallery

Its got a simple rubber capped push button for on and off.
From Onderon's gallery

Here's where the fun starts. Disregarding probing potentials, the Stick can be removed from the cradle and in the middle is a small magnet and some of you might have guessed the tube is stainless steel.

The underside of the cradle also has a magnet which lets it stick to metal surfaces and and you can reposition the stick pretty much however you want
From Onderon's gallery

It also comes with some screws if you choose to permanently attach the cradle to plastic or wooden surfaces but I'm gonna leave it as it is.

Here's the LEDs turned on but facing upwards away from the camera
From Onderon's gallery

and some comparison photos of what lurks beneath my table
From Onderon's gallery

Fairly decent if you ask me

Quality wise its pretty good and the metal tubing gives it a nice weight
From Onderon's gallery

Unscrewing off the other end allows you to pull out metal tube off and access to the batteries. Its run on 3 AAA batteries but LEDs are fairly efficient so I won't be changing them for a long while

I is gonna probez joo
